The second World of Warcraft expansion doesn't do anything for new players, but there's plenty of great content for anyone who's reached at least level 55.

I can't wait until they come out with the 3rd expansion and you get to lvl90! And they could create something more like another world like Outland instead of another continent. That would be cool!

StarCraft as an MMO? Don't be silly, if anything it should be in the Diablo universe, that I would gladly trade WoW for.

Wow haters opinions are frequently justifiable by the dangerous addictiveness of the game. I mean, if you can't pull yourself away from the game then there is clearly a problem. That being said I do play WoW.

All the WoW haters can just stay off WoW. Our game world is better off without their small-minded attitudes anyway...

One thing that has gone unmentioned is that the expansion allows you to level a cross-faction character more quickly.

Say I play mostly Alliance because that's where my guild and friends play. I want to play on the Horde side, but don't want the hassle of leveling to 70...er...80 from scratch; including no money or guild resources. Enter the Death Knight.

    Just a nuance.

I completely agree about having to get past the first 20-30 levels. When I first played WoW, got a hunter up to level 34 then said "Boring!" and quit. But when I had nothing to do for a couple of months for personal reasons about a year back, I started a druid up and got him up to 70 and it was a really fun experience. I'm willing to bet most nay-sayers of the game that actually played it never got past level 35. Have patience with this game and it will pay off.

To anyone who is considering this game a sad truth is that the free trial is a really bad way to get to know if you like the game. The first 20-30 levels are a big bump you have to get over. Once you get your first character to a level where they've actually gained most of their core capabilities then you can really judge the game. Because, as with almost every mmo unless it's using some sort of niche appeal it's going to start out boring to the large majority.

Also, have a lv. 80 and have to say that WoTLK is superior to BC in many ways. From story line (the new events they've fitted into quests are amazing) to art direction, the subtle new graphical improvements really present the game world in a way that is quite a bit of an improved from Classic and BC. Have also begun raiding Naxx and it is easier than most previous raiding, but it does its job well as an entry level raid.

I hope Gamespot is going to make a review soon. But I guess they have to use some time to explore all the new features.

Dear AoW TMS, If you cared to read the player licence agreement for WoW, then you would know that those 11 million players aren't trial, frozen, banned, or inactive accounts. Reason why it jumped up another million is cause of it's release to yet another country. Learn to read game news before you rant about it.

    Short Review and Opinion
Graphics - 9 (Though cartoony, it's what makes it fun and colorful, and it's Warcraft!)
Gameplay - 9 (I say only 9 because for someone just starting out there is a lot to learn, but for an MMO I mean.... nothing beats it.) Blizz has got it down better than anyone.
Story-line - 9 Way better than BC expansion. The events like retaking of UC and the Death Knight quest heading to Orgrimmar make you feel part of the story. Awesome! WoW is a huge world for it to be new to someone. For previous posters if you don't have a level 80 (Just meaning having one toon at the level cap) then you will never really experience the true fun in the game. Previously, I would see people complain a lot when they weren't level 70 (Previous level cap). The fun really starts once you are capped.

Find a good guild, pvp/arena, go run quests for more gold and loot, Raid, level professions and buy/sell goods, run around and terrorize low level Alliance characters and spit on their body's with your friends. It doesn't get better.

Overall I think WOTLK is the best expansion to any game I have ever experienced so far. Yeah it's more of WoW, but with new additions and a lot of what's familiar from the previous games.

My only concern is class balancing at level 80, but I've come to accept every class has their time in the light and that's one of the nicest things about an MMO. It can be constantly expanded and or changed.

Blah Buh Dee F#$@ Blah.... Could keep going, but over and out....

I miss the old games too!, If they make starcraft into an RPG-ish game like they did warcraft 3... I may cry.

The only people i say deserve to voice their opinion of the game are ones who played it. Not people who hear about it, believe all the stories about being "addicted", and the rest of that nonsense, I was once like that and made fun of people who played it and talked down about it until I actually tried it and said to myself "wow this really fun" and played it for a while got a character to level 70

wow... they have already given up their numbers who play, they do not count inactive accounts or trial accounts... Only active paying accounts are counted... I know the server I play on is always packed and I can't imagine there are too many out there that are not (unless they are newly opened servers to deal with population). I love people that speak about things they do not know.

also they cant reveiw this before relese like they can with single player games, as they need to have an idea of what its like with full servers.
